A headache is a pain or discomfort in the head, scalp, or neck. It happens when pain-sensitive nerves in these areas get triggered. Headaches can feel different depending on the type — some feel like a dull ache, others like a sharp pain or a tight band around your head.Published from Blogger Prime Android App

Home Remedies For Headaches
Ginger
Ginger decreases the pain of the blood vessels in the head, thus relieving headaches. Prepare a paste by adding 2 tablespoons of water to the dry ginger powder. Apply it on the forehead.
• Mix lemon juice and ginger juice in equal amounts. Drink it 1-2 times a day.
• Chew 1 to 2 pieces of ginger candy (crystallized).
• Boil raw ginger or ginger powder in water for a few minutes. Inhale its vapor.

Ice pack
Ice reduces inflammation and relieves pain. To soothe migraines, apply an ice pack to the back of your neck. Otherwise, soak a washcloth in ice water. Put it on your head for 5-7 minutes. Repeat this several times. Or, wrap some frozen vegetables in a bag. Use it as a cold compress on the head to get rid of the pain.

Apples
Sprinkle a little salt on apple slices; eat in the morning for a week. It will balance the alkali and acid levels in the body, thus providing relief from chronic headaches.

Lemon
Remove the outer coating (rind) from 2-3 lemons. Prepare a dough by crushing and chopping the crust. Apply this paste on the forehead.

Honey
Take 1½ cup of milk and add 2 teaspoons of cinnamon powder and 1 teaspoon of honey to it. Stir it properly. Drink it twice a day when you are suffering from headaches. Or, sip water mixed with honey on an empty stomach every morning to cure chronic headaches naturally.

Cloves
Cloves work as a natural pain reliever and relieve tension headaches. Crush some cloves and place them in a clean cloth. Whenever you get a headache, breathe in the scent of crushed cloves.
• Alternatively, mix a tablespoon of carrier oil with 2 drops of clove oil. Use this mixture to massage your temples and forehead.
• Or, mix 2 drops of clove oil, 1 teaspoon of sea salt and 2 teaspoons of coconut oil. Rub the mixture on your forehead.

Headaches can be caused by stress, dehydration, lack of sleep, or other factors. Here are some natural remedies that might help:

1. Stay Hydrated:

  • Drink plenty of water — dehydration is a common cause of headaches.

2. Rest in a Quiet, Dark Room:

  • Close your eyes and relax in a dark, quiet space to reduce sensory overload.

3. Apply a Cold or Warm Compress:

  • Place a cold cloth on your forehead for tension headaches or a warm compress on your neck for muscle tension.

4. Massage Pressure Points:

  • Gently massage your temples, neck, and the area between your thumb and index finger.

5. Aromatherapy:

  • Inhale lavender or peppermint oil, or rub a small amount on your temples.

6. Deep Breathing or Meditation:

  • Slow, deep breaths can help relax your body and reduce headache intensity.
